Washington, D.C.
Our last stop before arriving in Cape Cod was a visit to Spencer’s aunt, uncle, and cousins who live outside D.C. We really enjoyed seeing all of them as well as other family members who came over to share a meal. Spencer’s cousins Caroline and Olivia took us into D.C. for the day where we visited the National Archives and the National Museum of American History. The weather was perfect and we loved wandering around the city. Our visit to the Archives and Museum of American History were a first for both of us and we enjoyed them immensely. Laney loved seeing Julia Child’s kitchen and First Ladies at the Smithsonian dress collection. Spencer also liked Julia Child’s kitchen and The Star-Spangled Banner. There is so much to see in Washington and we hope to travel there soon for a longer visit.
