Brimfield Antique Show, MA
This was our first visit to Brimfield, although we first heard about it a few years ago. Brimfield is only two hours away and we spent three days there hunting for treasures and camping in our teardrop. All the antique dealers set up along both sides of a mile stretch of road and it took us two full days of walking around to see everything. It was exhausting, but so much fun and we found lots of...

Washington, D.C.
Our last stop before arriving in Cape Cod was a visit to Spencer’s aunt, uncle, and cousins who live outside D.C. We really enjoyed seeing all of them as well as other family members who came over to share a meal. Spencer’s cousins Caroline and Olivia took us into D.C. for the day where we visited the National Archives and the National Museum of American History. The weather was...
Memorial Day at the River.
Leaving Nashville, we drove through Birmingham, AL with a stop at Barber Motorsports Museum to see some amazing vintage motorcycles. From there, we drove to Laney’s parents’ house on the Chattahoochee River for a visit over Memorial Day weekend. Relaxing at the river is pretty much the best thing in the world! We spent our time enjoying family, celebrating a birthday, boating,...
Nashville & Franklin, TN.
After a long journey, we were so relieved to arrive in Franklin for a visit with Spencer’s grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins. We truly had a wonderful time enjoying their company and relaxing a bit. We spent half a day in Nashville visiting with friends and walking around downtown and Music Row. Nashville is such a lovely town with a laid-back vibe and great music (obviously). I wish we...
The Long Drive...
We followed I-40 and parts of Route 66 from Albuquerque, NM to Nashville, TN for three days-camping and sightseeing along the way. Laney had never driven across the middle of the country and found it amazing we could drive for miles without seeing a single sign of life. The brown fields seemed to stretch on forever and we were thrilled to finally see lush green trees as we reached the South.
Lovedrop Continues...
After spending some time getting settled in our new home, we have decided to continue sharing our adventures on the Cape and throughout New England. There is so much to explore here and already we have done a good bit of sightseeing. Hope you all enjoy sharing in our life and travels!

Santa Fe, NM
This was our last stop in the Southwest before heading East on our long drive to Nashville to visit family and friends. We spent two nights in a hotel near the Plaza, which after another full week of camping was divine. Sunday was spent meandering downtown Santa Fe, shopping for treasures at boutiques and artist markets, and visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe museum. The entire day was relaxing...
Four Corners Monument
On our way to Santa Fe, NM from Mesa Verde we passed through Four Corners Monument. We couldn’t resist the idea of being in four states at once-Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Mesa Verde, Colorado
Mesa Verde is simply stunning. From above, the cliff dwellings look like dollhouses, but when up close their scale and workmanship is remarkable. Ancestral Puebloans first settled here 1400 years ago and constructed over 600 cliff dwellings from the 1190s to 1270s. It is amazing to see how their construction skills advanced over time and to get a glimpse of such a incredible civilization. By 1300,...
Canyonlands
Canyonlands National Park is divided into three sections by the Green and Colorado Rivers. As a result, the park is very remote and is best seen with a 4x4 off road vehicle. We visited Island in the Sky and The Needles, but stayed on the paved road due to our need to keep our Jeep fully operational for the long journey. The Island in the Sky surprised us with its beautiful views of a canyon that...
